Martin Spurling has extensive knowledge of the marquee industry and since 1972 has worked not only all around the UK, but also world-wide from Europe to the Far East, Martin has built and overseen the construction of both traditional and framed marquees for every type of function, plus stage canopies for concerts and festival events. During the winter months he has undertaken contract work as a lighting technician and worked for many top names including Johnny Cash, All Saint’s and Pavarotti.

In the late 1990’s Martin started to manufacture marquee and stage covers from  a small workshop in the Midlands, having helped design, manufacture and construct structures for company's such as Bacardi, Orange, Ford and many more.

In 2003 he joined forces with Gary Chapman of the Highfield Group to form Marquee Covers and Frames Ltd. With 2 factories in Suffolk covering more than 10,000 sq ft Marquee covers and Frames is able to design and manufacture made to measure structures or replacement parts to suit many designs.

In 2008 Martin formed Pocca.co.uk with Robert Carpenter, to undertake the design and erection of canopies for schools across the East of England, as part of the Inside2Outside Company.
